We Are Excited To Announce....

Baby Lund
Coming August 2013

We found out we were expecting the first part of December 2012. Within a few weeks I was so sick and so tired. It seemed to never end! Once I was Zofran it seemed to help keep the food down, but didn't seem to ease the nausea. No matter how much a slept and relaxed I couldn't seem to get any energy. My house was a wreck. It was all I could do to keep Khloe fed and clean. Thank goodness to having a helpful husband!

I am now 16 weeks pregnant. I still get nauseated and I still get tired. BUT it is 90% better than it was. I'm sure my husband likes to see his wife be somewhat helpful and useful again! The house is staying somewhat clean and food has magically started to appear again.

Khloe has been super cute! She will rub my growing belly and tell the baby to be nice when I am not feeling well. Whenever she is playing she will make sure she has a Mommy, Daddy, Khloe and Baby for whatever she is comparing us to in the moment. Sometimes it's her My Little Pony family. Sometimes she is pointing out the birds outside. Other times it's some inanimate object like crayons. Silly girl :)

Let's Play Some Catch Up

So much has happened since I last stopped by! Here is a bit of an overview :)

Thanksgiving 2012:

This was an event! I planned and cooked the whole meal with help from my mom. This was the first year I stayed home and just enjoyed the day. It was so great! It was definitely more work than I realized it would be, but well worth it. Guest list included my mom, dad and Dewey's mom and dad. Small and simple.

Menu: Turkey, Gravy, Cranberries, Rolls, Funeral Potatoes, Stuffing, Green Bean Casserole, "Damn Yams," Pumpkin Pie and Banana Cream Pie.

The food was delish.

Christmas 2012:

Christmas is always an event! It's never a one day event. Instead it is always spread out over several days. I'm sure this is how it is with most families.... maybe? Maybe just with large and split families like we have (A story for another day haha).

The weekend before Christmas was spent at Dewey's Mom and Dad's house for their family party. Always an event. Lots of food (of course!) and a white elephant game that was beyond funny.

Christmas Eve there was a crazy snow storm while we were driving to my Dad's house. We had a small dinner and let the kids open presents. It was nice and I really wish we would have gotten to spend more time there.

Christmas morning was spent opening presents with Khloe. She was so much fun this year! She is really starting to understand what the  presents are and what to do with them. Of course, she was beyond spoiled. We try not to spoil her, but it proves much harder than that! After our morning we ran and got ready as we had a Christmas brunch over at Colleen and Casey's house. Again SO much food with tons of great company. Following brunch was another stop at Dewey's parents. We will leave that one alone as it did not end our day on a good note. Super frustrating. :)

Other Random Happenings:

Dewey - Working, working, working. He is the type of man that will do WHATEVER it takes to support his family. We don't always see eye to eye but when I take a step back I can always see his intentions. He is the most amazing daddy to Khloe. We are lucky to have him (Or is he lucky to have us :) HA!) Kidding! For the last few years he has been working for the government. His job is on i way to an end. This is a post that will be coming up!

Khloe - Oh my sweet, sassy, determined little girl. She is getting so big! This girl is talking up a storm and does not mind telling you what's on her mind. She is also starting to show her sensitive side. She gets so concerned when she seems someone crying. And when she gets in trouble for not listening she will immediately burst into tears. It makes it really hard to discipline! We are getting through though. She LOVES her movies. If you want to start a fight with this little one trying taking those away from her. We still can't leave the house without her sippy cup with ice water and her blankie. That is a sure fire way to have a stressful drive full of screaming and tears. The bedtime routine has become a challenge! Again, screaming and kicking between each thing (jammies, brushing teeth, etc). One of the absolute sweetest things she says once she is in bed though is "Just a little nappy. Okay mom?" This girl is full of spunk and I sure do love her with everything I am.

Chelsea - Yep, just working. Isn't that the life? Work is going well and I am just happy we made it through AE and we are still alive! It was a crazy year. My position with my job changed slightly. Rather than simply doing the Ben Rep role I am not considered a "floater". This is a new position that was created to which I am no longer dedicated to clients. Now I am dedicated to the Ben Rep group to help on projects and things they may need help with. Furthermore, I am now involved in many more projects that have the potential to change the way we process and hopefully help us to become more efficient. It's been challenging, but I really love do love my job!

Well..... apparently I can talk. Until next time (A much much sooner "next time" this time around)
